Insert Witty Title Here

Ah, it's been awhile since I have added any entries here. I almost did last night; I was feeling a bit out of sorts, but then I got busy doing something else. Things have been a bit strange and I am feeling a deep sense of worry about my dad. This stems first from the fact that, out of the blue, he sent me a large sum of money. Couple that with the fact he has been talking about his heath deteoriating lately. When I called him to thank him, he sounded very slurred. It was then that he told me he had a fall in the yard. He just fell and had no explanation why. Luckily he had his cell phone on him and called a friend. He did say he was working in the yard a lot that day, and it's been very hot in the Midwest. He was having a scotch so maybe that's why he was slurred.

He sounded much better the next day though. He really needs someone there with him and I wish I could get him to move here. He wants my nephew to move in with him to help him out. I worry whether or not that is a good idea, but the fact he needs someone with him eases any reservations I have regarding Adam moving in.

I'm considering visiting my dad this month instead of mom and everyone in Georgia. I'll make it to Illinois this year though.

But, I won't dwell on that subject - Hopefully it is just me being my usual worry-wort self.

Work has been pretty crazy. I've had 4 new employees to train in the last month, 2 of them started on Monday. They seem to be getting into the swing of things though.

My friend Martin has been such a sweetie lately. Today he spent 5 hours, hanging around work, building my new computer. I wish I would have been able to help and learn from him on how to do this myself, but with how busy I have been lately it just was not feasible.
I do have, however, some fun pictures of the process.

Here is the before. Had I been a bit more thoughtful I would have allowed the picture to encompass all of the parts strewn about. However, that would have been the epitome of geekness if I "posed" the computer and parts. One has to draw the line somewhere...

And so, the case itself posed some problems for him, but he seemed to work through them alright. The case did, however, spark many comments of "That's a huge case!"

(Directed at me) You could sleep on it! You could hide in it!

But hey, it's a sweet box and everyone seemed to think so.

Well, it appears the rest of this exciting tale will need to wait for another time... As my current PC appears to be struggling tonight. Blogger is not placing new images in this entry and my Internet Explorer has encountered an error three times now.
