If you are lucky, you are unfamiliar with a semi-new commercial with a horrible song that is making my brain explode and my IQ decrease. Unfortunately for me, this song is played numerous times during NFL games and it will not get the fuck out of my head.
It consists of various images of Americans and things that have happened in recent history - Yay. While the exploiting of recent tragic events such as 9/11, Katrina and the War in Iraq for the purpose of selling a truck is deplorable; its that fucking John Melloncamp song "Our Country" that annoys the shit out of me.
First, its a retarded song. Secondly, it drives me batty that he can't seem to use English correctly and say "this is OUR country". No, it's "this is ARE country." So it's those four damn words which have been going around and around in my head for the last two hours. I understand artists take liberty with word pronunciations and usage in their music, but if you're going to make a song about America, use proper damn English!
Needless to say, I am NOT posting a YouTube video of this commercial here. If you want to be annoyed, go for it, I'm sure its on YouTube somewhere. You won't find it here. This is are blog.
